This short video, to celebrate International Women’s Day, is a collaboration between poet Ellie Being, and Bristol-based multi instrumentalist TLK (Tara Lily Klein), and myself. It has been created for an international art project called Gend-ity, organised by Art House Project.
Using the burning alive of people (mainly women) accused of witchcraft during the Middle Ages in England, as an example, the video touches on the issue of trauma experienced by women both collectively and individually and how we women are regaining our confidence, peace of mind, and self-esteem.
